Why we don't accept cash on delivery
Every Bestowi order is paid for at checkout. We know that's a small ask when so much shopping in India still happens at the door, so here's the honest reason — we'd rather explain it than leave you wondering.
Cash on delivery is easy to misuse. A parcel gets ordered on a whim and refused at the door, or nobody comes down for it. By then that box has already travelled a couple of thousand kilometres, and it has to make the whole journey back. We pay the courier in both directions, and the piece usually returns scuffed, dented or with its gift box crushed — which means it can't be sent to anyone else.
For a small maker, a handful of those in a month is the difference between holding our prices and raising them. Every seller who offers COD quietly prices that risk into the product, so you end up paying for parcels that strangers refused. We would rather not do that to you.
Paying up front also makes your own order better. Nothing waits on a confirmation call, so it is packed and dispatched sooner. It travels lighter, with no cash to collect and fewer hands on the box, which means less to go wrong on the way. And your address is confirmed the moment you pay, so parcels don't wander.
In return we try hard to make paying feel safe. Checkout is secure, a GST invoice comes with every order, and if anything arrives damaged we replace it — send us a photo within 7 days and a new one ships within 3 business days, with no return shipping to pay. If you would still rather speak to a person first, message us on WhatsApp at +91-9289727888 — it is the quickest way to reach us, and where we answer first. You are just as welcome to call the same number, or write to business@bestowi.com.
